Alexis journey began under incredibly difficult circumstances. Born to a mother battling addiction and never knowing her birth father, Alexis entered the foster care system at just 8 months old after the passing of her maternal grandmother, who had been her primary caregiver. She and her siblings were left without a stable family member to care for them. But Alexis’s story didn’t end there.
She was adopted by a loving Christian couple whose faith and compassion laid the foundation for her future. In their home, Alexis experienced a deep and unwavering love that helped heal the wounds of her early trauma. Her parents’ example of resilience, service, and unconditional support shaped the woman she would become.
Now a devoted wife and mother herself, Alexis carries those same values forward in her mission to serve others—particularly young women who, like her, have experienced the foster care system. She has a heartfelt understanding of the challenges these girls face, especially as they transition into adulthood without the traditional safety net of family.
Her personal story fuels her passion and purpose behind Crown HER Havens, Inc, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and supporting young women aging out of foster care. Through this work, Alexis is committed to creating a nurturing, faith-filled environment where they can heal, grow, and thrive—just as she once did. Her life stands as living proof that with love, guidance, and opportunity, every young woman can rise, be restored, and crown herself with hope and purpose.
